Attorney Profiles

Mr. Mitchel H. Ashley joined our firm immediately following his graduation from Hofstra Law School. Starting out as a summer associate, he proved himself to be a valuable asset to our firm, rising in the ranks to become our youngest partner. Mitchel is our most prolific trial attorney, and he spends most of his mornings in the courthouse. He specializes in all personal injury and toxic tort matters. Teaming up with Bert Blitz, the two are diligently working to prove that toxic landfills are inflicting New York City residents with various forms of cancer. They are working to not only protect the rights of individuals living around those areas, but also to impose stricter laws and regulations governing the disposal of chemical waste.
 
Mitchel's activities out of the office are equally impressive. In 2002, he was selected to be part of the Olympic Torch relay, and he carried the torch for part of its journey on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. He also has recently participated in the New York City triathlon where he swam, biked, and ran to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Mitchel is assisted in the office by paralegal Aleksandra Litvina. Alek is fluent in both Russian and English and can always assist any of Mitchel's clients with their questions.

Significant Victories

$325,000 for a ten-year-old child who was hit by a truck as he got off the bus on his way to school.

$300,000 for a ninth-grade girl whose foot and ankle were run over by a car.

$790,000 for a man who stepped out of his company van and was hit by an uninsured limousine.
