Richard E. Shandell is currently the senior partner of the firm. His career has been marked by huge successes for the plaintiffs he represents and innovations in the field of law.

After graduating from Columbia University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Columbia Law Review, he began his career working to protect defendants from the suits of plaintiffs. He soon discovered he would rather protect the injured plaintiffs and began a long and distinguished career protecting the rights of innocent people injured at the hands of someone else.

He has served as President of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and as a Governor of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a frequent lecturer at both organizations.

He is currently a Dean of the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute. He is the author of The Preparation and Trial of Medical Malpractice Cases. This book is not only used by less experienced trial lawyers but can be found in the chambers of many area judges.

Mr. Shandell tries the most complex cases including medical malpractice and product liability cases. Assisting Richard Shandell are Mary Kadlubkiewicz and Maria Saladino, who are pictured with him above. Whenever Mr. Shandell is in court on a case, Mary and Maria are always available to assist you. You can be assured that any conversations with Mary or Maria will be relayed to Mr. Shandell without delay.
